Trust Your Instincts

When meeting with different contractors, trust your instincts. Are they listening to your wants and needs? How long have they been in business? Are they responsive to your calls and questions? Which one can you work with for an extended period of time?

From Concept through Construction your project with Okerman Construction and Remodeling will be a collaborative effort. To get a better idea of what you can expect from us visit our How We Operate page on this site

Certifications and Licenses

In the State of Massachusetts, anyone doing work on your home must be licensed and in good standing with the Massachusetts Licensing boards. In Massachusetts there are separate licenses for Home Improvement Contractors (HIC) and Construction Supervisors (CSL). The Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs & Business Regulation (OCABR) regulates license registrations for Home Improvement Contractors and the Executive Office of Public Safety (EOPS) regulates Construction Supervisors licenses. An HIC registration allows a contractor to remodel (only). A CSL license is required for new construction. You can review a contractor’s license status and past history by clicking on the links below.

David Okerman, Okerman Construction and Remodeling, is a registered HIC and has an unrestricted CSLLicensed CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR (CSL).

David has also been a member of the Preferred TimberTech Professional – Elite Contractor Program since September 2010
